Something that I thought would be interesting to bring onto my blog is monthly makeup uniforms. To some this may sound so incredibly boring, however, for someone who has an ever changing and growing makeup collection, this is a way to document what products have been getting more use than others in order to keep a rotation going.
Here's what I've been loving lately.
Let me preface this by saying that I literally HATE BB Creams. I have never found a brand that offered a shade to suit my skin or offer any coverage, whatsoever. That being said, I gave this one the benefit of the doubt, because it was in a shade the matched my skin, and I was completely surprised. This BB cream offers some pretty stellar coverage and the shade range is quite good. It has a really nice luminous finish that lasts throughout the day.
I recently pick up this new highlighter from Wet n Wild. These came out a while ago but they were always sold out or not available in my area. When I found this one, I scooped it up to give it a try. I picked it up in the shade Precious Petals and was shocked to see it's a dead on match for BECCA's Opal highlight. It gives a really nice reflective finish and was well worth the $4.99 I paid for it.
I haven't been doing too much in terms of eyeshadows but when I want to feel a little more glam I have been reaching for these little gems from Physicians Formula. These Gel Creme Shadow and Liners come in a set of three and they are so cute and have some awesome shimmer. I've got them in the Nude shade. I like to pop these on my lids when I want to add something special to a look.
For mascara I must say I have been reaching for this one most days. I think the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara is one of those products you either love...or you hate. My sister hated this mascara so much, but I think it's great! Not only is the packaging amazing, it is super black and gives me super fluffy lashes.
I love a light pink mani! I recently picked up a set of Essie polishes and it is all I have been wearing on my nails. Ballet Slippers is just the perfect milky pink color for girls like me that don't want any sort of obtrusive nail color, and this Gel Setter top coat is great! It's a super thick one so it gives my nails a gel like look and they color lasts so much longer!
What products have you been loving this month?
This magazine is more than just that. It has been a source of inspiration for both me and Matthew. The perfectly styled images, the amazing recipes, and the thick stock of the pages make this magazine more like a journal or book of sorts. On the very first page Joanna's Letter from the Editor cultivated imagery in my mind and I was immediate ready to soak in every last page in this book.
Throughout the journal you'll find tips for simplicity, the importance of fruitful friendships, and inspiring stories of heroic people. But something on the very last page struck a chord with me. The Magnolia Manifesto is one of the most beautiful, well written, to-the-point. pieces I have ever read.
"We believe that newer isn't always better and there is something inherently good in hard work. We believe that friends who feel like family are the best kind of friends and that nothing matters more than family. We believe that today is a gift and that every day miracles are scattered about if only we have eyes to see them.
We believe in seeking the balance between hustle and rest and striving to be passionate about both: a leisurely cup of coffee to start the day mindfully and then at day's end not clocking out from a job till you're proud. We believe that failure needn't be a negative thing; rather, we learn from our mistakes and fail smarter next time. We believe in doing work that we love and, in choosing that, nudging others toward doing what they love.
We believe in courage, in cartwheeling past our comfort zones and trying something a little bit scary every day. We believe that it's time for the pendulum of trend to swing back to the basics, We believe in subtle beauty, the kind that doesn't deteriorate with age or wear. And of all heroic pursuits large or small, we believe there may be none greater than a life well loved"

Nearly 23 trips I've made around the sun, so in honor of my upcoming birthday, I thought it would be interesting to see if I could put together a list of 22 things I have learned in my 22 years on Earth.
- Do what you want, because either way you're gonna piss somebody off.
- Never take things too seriously.
- Invest in friendships.
- Don't be afraid to speak up.
- Ask questions...lot's of questions.
- Don't worry about the opinions of others.
- Take time off if you need it.
- Drink water instead.
- Wear what makes you feel good.
- Forgiveness is more important than your ego.
- Don't let hair dressers touch your eyebrows.
- It's okay to be on a different path than what's expected of you.
- Invest your time in the things you love.
- Never take anything for granted.
- It's okay to cry sometimes.
- Karma is real.
- Expand your horizons.
- Try new things.
- You are worth something.
- Be aware of your mental health.
- The past is in the past.
- We are all equal.

Instead of focusing on the past, I would much rather look towards the future in hopes that 2017 will have more opportunity, better friendships, and more love in store for me than 2016. Here are some goals that I have set for myself in the new year...stick around to see how long these last!
|R E S O L U T I O N S|
Be an amazing wife| To me this is something that I would have never thought I would have on my list until much later in life. However me and Matthew got hitched on 1.7.17. I can hardly believe it! Being an amazing wife is something that I long to be. I know the first year of married life can be rough, but I think we are up for the challenge.
Travel| 2016 was a year of complacency for me. I found myself to be too comfortable in my living situation and did little-to-no traveling. I love to go out and see new things, so hopefully 2017 will be a year of doing just that.
Make healthy choices| I'm not going too set myself up for failure with this one by saying, "lose 50 pounds," or something unreasonable. I'm setting the bar low for myself by just choosing to make smarter, more educated choices, about my food consumption.
Post regularly| This is something I have put a lot of thought into. I'm not the best blogger, but I hope to continue to post and grow my readership this year. I have set a goal for myself to post one video and one blog each week. The struggle to find a balance between managing work, marriage, family, and my two social medias, is something I'm not sure I can do. I'm going to try my best to do everything I set my mind out to do...including this. Even if it feels like homework sometimes.

Blush is something that I am a bit obsessed with. Ever since I can remember I have always went a little overboard with the blush trend. I think it gives a bit of life and glow to the skin that no other product can replicate.
As always, I went a bit overboard with some blush purchases that I feel completely represent just how much I love blusher.
The brightest of the bunch is the BECCA Luminous Blush in the shade Snap Dragon. This looks extremely bright in the pan, and can look a bit crazy if you go to heavy handed...not that that has happened to me. But, if used lightly it can add this beautiful berry glow to the cheeks. The gold reflects in this blush make it illuminating, hence the name. Win-win.
I love a good bargain and this E.L.F Blush Palette was an awesome deal! In this multi-season appropriate palette, you get four shades for $6!! For autumn, my favorite two blushers are the ones on the left of the palette. One is a nice plum shade with no shimmer, and the other is more of a light cool pink. Perfect for a more natural looking blush shade. I feel a lot of skin tones could get use out of this palette and I feel for six bucks you can't beat it!
Lastly is a split pan blush from Kat Von D. This is her contouring blush in the shade Hansel and Gretel. Unfortunately, I'm almost certain this has been discontinued, however, you can still find these at TJ Maxx I believe. I love this because it is completely matte and when you use the two shades together you get a really nice terracotta shade and I'm all about that! I happened to luck up and find one of these guys so it's definitely worth going and looking for if you have a TJ near you!

Well, well, well...it's been a long time since I've seen you around these here parts...
What do you all think of my new blog design? I think it's absolutely lovely. Recently I've been dealing with a quarter-life crisis, and I needed some new direction, so I thought that a blog overhaul would do the trick.
To put things bluntly, I will be spending a lot more time focusing on my blog, my YouTube channel, and other social medias. I hope you guys will stick around and spend some time here with me. I know that I haven't been the most consistent blogger, but all of that is about to change. I have some interesting things planned for my website so hang in there. It's gonna be interesting.
